Heather Dobbins

Consultant

Heather Dobbins has more than 20 years of experience as an advisor, consultant, and change agent, serving clients in industries including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, technology, manufacturing, and government. As a creative problem solver who always asks “why,” she facilitates strategy and planning sessions, identifies the root causes of problems, delivers recommendations, and drives successful transformation.

With a background in strategic planning, corporate capability mapping, operational improvement, and organizational design, Heather feels at home in the middle of transformation. With Catalyst Strategies, Heather has supported clients pursuing market exploration and entry, operating model improvements, line of business expansion, and organizational redesigns.

Before joining Catalyst Strategies, Heather spearheaded cost-saving and revenue-growth projects for multiple companies, both in internal marketing roles and as a consultant with Booz & Co. (Booz Allen Hamilton). As head of marketing for fund management at Prologis, the world’s largest industrial real estate company, she optimized content quality and delivery, expanded content format and channels, and oversaw integration with company tools and processes. For Franklin Templeton, Heather led the marketing leadership team through capabilities mapping, resulting in a content marketing transformation.

As a consultant with Booz & Co., Heather led efficiency analysis and recommendations and subsequent organization design work for a global data operations consolidation for a global technology company. For a public biopharmaceutical company, she revamped the IT services department, which had not developed in line with the company’s needs. For a large healthcare provider, she reimagined the client engagement model for the client services team, which offered first-tier support. She has also supported government agency initiatives, including the standup of a public/private national-security partnership. Heather also does pro bono consulting for nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Heather holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a BA from Colgate University.
